Art speaks beyond words. It has the power to uplift, heal and bypass the mind to get to the heart.
This is what distinguishes Sandra Gittleman’s art. It elevates, edifies and is beautiful.
Combining old world charm with contemporary sophistication, Sandra paints meaningful and timeless
reflections of nature, beauty and distinguished humanity.
The hallmark of her work is a distinctive palette rich with COLOR, LIGHT, and VALUE.
Her “Modern Romantic” style is expressed through impressionistic realism, inspired by the everyday, but
profound things that have proven a wellspring like nature, family, and faith.
Sandra began to call her art the VINEDRESSER Collection in her college years, inspired by God’s role in
her life as the Vinedresser, depicted in John 15. This was particularly relatable as her father was an
extraordinary arborist whose sanctuary was nature.
Graduating magna cum laude with a B.A.in Art from Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA, Sandra
continued her study of The Old Masters’ techniques at the diDomizio Art Center, Atlanta, GA. Through
years of painting her specialization of mixing color and creating value developed, as well as her fascination for history through the lives of artists.
Sandra taught middle school art for many years before launching into the gallery world.
Her work resides in numerous private and public art collections in the USA and Canada.
